Oh boy. Here's the story as it stands, and I'll try and keep it spoiler free:
Due to a slip up recently on Xbox's LIVE Marketplace (what else?), it was revealed that the first installment of Mass Effect 3 DLC content would be a day 1 release. The DLC is called From Ashes, and contains a bonus mission and bonus character (in the same vein as the Zaeed and Kasumi DLC from Mass Effect 2), and was revealed to have been the same bonus mission/character content included for in the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3 (surely covered in the extra cost of the CE, along with the artbook and various other extras).
Not surprisingly, because you know, the internet, there's been a backlash asking why such notable DLC isn't actually included as part of the game, even accusals that a piece of the main game had been annexed and sold off as DLC for a bit of extra coin.
Of course, the general defense is that you can plainly just not buy the DLC. But for some that old...
This is about a week late but this reaction has been percolating inside my head about as long. I just feel like picking at the thread of celebrity in our modern culture, mostly because I find myself shaking my head in disbelief and just hope I'm not the only one.
Chris Brown performed at the Grammy's after a three year exile about a week ago, and from what I hear it was technically a decent performance. Not only that, but he won a Grammy for best R'n B album for his latest offering F.A.M.E.. And it's true, whatever you say about him, you can't take away that he's a decent performer or a decent musical artist. The main question here though is: is that enough to have your slate wiped clean? But then again, this is celebrity we're talking about, where just having your name known has literally gotten people away with murder.
Just to refresh, the reason why Chris Brown hadn't been at the Grammy's in so long is because in 2009 he beat up his then girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna....

That's right, if you're a Silver XBLA user you can get some free Gold time just by downloading the demo.
Included with the demo which has two campaign different areas to play through is a sample of the multiplayer, though that won't up until the 18th I read. Guess we'll see, my download is done.

There were rumours that the initial designed leaked was the start of a new rebranding for DC as a company - and they were right.
It's only been 7 years since DC moved away from the "bullet" logo designed by Milton Glaser back in 1977, and rolled out the 'comet'/'swoosh' logo that most are now familiar with:
But it seems there's two points DC Entertainment is wanting to make from here with the new design: that along with the New 52, they're making a point of a new start and a complete rebranding; and that it seems that the larger 'Entertainment' side of their company is taking precedence in relation to this new logo design.
As a graphic designer, I've been following the news of this new logo design since I first heard of it, and I honestly can't say I'm too impressed by the logo. Don't get me wrong, it's servicable, but my problem is that there's very little about it...

Really. Go on.
